Every 1 Help 1 works with private, public, and government organizations to identify and assist those in need of assistive technologies and related equipment…Assistive technology helps people who have difficulty speaking, typing, writing, remembering, pointing, seeing, hearing, learning, walking, and many other things. Different disabilities require different assistive technologies.
According to the Assistive Technology Industry Association, Assistive technology (“AT”) is “any item, piece of equipment, software program, or product system that is used to increase, maintain, or improve the functional capabilities of persons with disabilities.”
Why is Assistive Technology an Every 1 Help 1 Mission?
Because Eric Jubert, board chair, delivered medical equipment over the summer between high school graduation and the start of college and the memories of that experience, of the people who were shut-in and in need of what he delivered, and especially the many younger and motivated people that were immobile and shut out of the everyday world. They could not contribute as they wished.
We help those that are need of the many personal aids manufactured and created by those in the assistive technology industry to improve their everyday lives.
